WeaverBirds is a collection of short stories based in Assam during the eighties and nineties. It explores the life of a family and their life in different parts of Assam and India. The stories are woven around situations that have been seen, experienced and heard by the author while growing up.Each story talks about the life of an average child, man and woman in the Society as they navigate through social stigmas, traditional values and of course militancy in the state. It also tries to bring forth the underlying misunderstanding and hate that an Assamese person faces once they are out in the so called “mainland”. The book also contains a few off beat love stories which have been featured in the authors instagram page _koostories_.
