Divided into six chapters, each section meticulously examines various aspects of Wesker’s life and work to provide a comprehensive understanding of his craft. The Introduction sets the stage by exploring the socio-cultural conditions that fostered the emergence of a new wave in drama. Chapter 1, “Wesker: A Brief Life Sketch,” meticulously traces the trajectory of Wesker’s life, shedding light on pivotal events that shaped his journey as a dramatist and the influences behind his acclaimed works.
In Chapter 2, the focus shifts to a detailed analysis of the plots of Wesker’s individual published plays, offering readers a nuanced understanding of the narrative intricacies that characterize his oeuvre. Chapter 3 delves into the major themes threaded throughout Wesker’s works, unveiling the underlying motifs and philosophical underpinnings that lend depth to his storytelling. Chapter 4 deals with the major concerns of his dramas. Finally, the Conclusion serves as a reflective culmination, wherein an earnest attempt is made to evaluate Wesker’s plays, culminating in a definitive assessment of his prowess as a playwright.
