“স্মৃতির পটে জীবনের ছবি কে আঁকিয়া যায় জানি না। কিন্তু যেই আঁকুক সে ছবিই আঁকে। আপনার অভিরুচি অনুসারে কত কী বাদ দেয়, কত কী রাখে।
খুব সত্যি কথা। মানুষ, যখন নিজের অজান্তেই জীবনের , শৈশব, তারুণ্যের প্রারম্ভিক কাল অতিক্রম করে মধ্যযৌবনে এসে কিছুটা থিতু হয়, তখনই বুঝি কোনও এক নির্জন ক্ষণিক অবসরে, পুরানো দিনের স্মৃতিমেদুরতা তাকে অধিকার করে বসে। সেই স্মৃতির মায়াজাল তাকে এমনই আষ্টেপৃষ্ঠে জড়িয়ে ধরে যে তা থেকে মুক্তি পেতে তাকে ধরতেই হয় কলম। কখনও তাতে ফুটে ওঠে আনন্দোজ্বল ঝলমলে বাল্যকাল, অথবা তারুণ্যের চড়াই উৎরাই। কোন রঙে কোন অধ্যায় আঁকা হবে,আর কোনটি বা থাকবে আপন অন্তরালে সেইসব স্থির করেন স্বয়ং লেখক, অথবা হয়তো বা জীবন দেবতা।
“সব চরিত্র কাল্পনিক নয়” বইটির নামকরণেই স্পষ্ট লেখিকা কোনো আড়াল আবডাল না রেখে স্বীয় জীবনপথের চড়াই উৎরাই এর এক সত্যনিষ্ঠ ছবি এঁকেছেন। এতে যেমন উজ্জ্বল রঙে তুলি ডুবিয়ে আঁকা ছেলেবেলার নানা রঙের ঝলমলে ছবি রয়েছে, রয়েছে তাঁর,পাঠ্যপুস্তকের সীমানার বাইরে পাঠাভ্যাসের তৃষ্ণা মেটাতে, সাপ্তাহিক মেয়াদে অজস্র বই ভাড়া করে আনার গল্প, ঠিক তেমনই রয়েছে, জীবনের তমসাবৃত অধ্যায় অতিক্রম করে, না থেমে এগিয়ে যাবার এক উজ্জ্বল উত্তরণের কাহিনী। ঝরঝরে ভাষায় লেখা, চমৎকার প্রচ্ছদ সমন্বিত, “সব চরিত্র কাল্পনিক নয়” নামের বইটি পাঠকজনের তৃপ্তির রসদ জোগাবে সন্দেহ নেই।

‘ সব চরিত্র কাল্পনিক নয় ‘ বইটি পড়লাম। প্রথমে একটু স্তব্ধ হয়ে রইলাম কারণ উপর্যুপরি এত আবেগ মনের মধ্যে ঢেউ তুললো যে সেটা কাটিয়ে উঠতে সময় লাগলো। চার পাঁচ দিন অপেক্ষা করে আবার লেখাটি পড়লাম। মনে হলো এমনটা তো আমিও জীবনে দেখেছি, প্রায় কাছাকাছি অভিজ্ঞতা তো আমার পরিচিত মানুষের জীবনেও ঘটেছে! ভাবলাম এসব সুদর্শনা জানলো কী করে!! তারপর মনে হলো ওকে সরিয়ে দিয়ে আমি ভুল করে ওর জায়গায় বসে পড়েছি।
ওর লেখার ভঙ্গি এত সহজ সরল আর অনায়াস যে মাঝ পথে পড়া থামানো যায় না। যদিও কয়েকটি ঘটনার পরিণতি প্রায় এক, কিন্তু কী করা যাবে, এ তো সত্য অভিজ্ঞতা কোনও বানানো বিষয় নয়।
শুরুর দিকে যে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি গুলি ও দিয়েছে তাতে বোঝা যায় যে ও ইতিহাসের মানুষ। ঘটনার সূচনায় কৌতূহলের অবকাশ রাখা আবার পরে তার সমাধান করা, মন ছুঁয়ে গেলো।
আমি এবার সুদর্শনা কাছে অন্য স্বাদের লেখা আশা করছি। ওর মধ্যে একটি সত্যান্বেষী মন আছে, এবার তার প্রকাশ ঘটুক।
সব শেষে আমি ওর সর্বাঙ্গীণ সুস্থতা কামনা করি, ভালো থাক সুদর্শনা।।

“সব চরিত্র কাল্পনিক নয়” বইটার লেখনী স্বচ্ছ আর সাবলীল । সুদর্শনা সেনের কলমে অনুভূতি আছে কিন্তু বাড়াবাড়ি নেই, আবেগ আছে কিন্তু ভারী নয়। প্রতিটি চরিত্রের জীবনের ওঠাপড়া এমনভাবে ফুটে উঠেছে, যে পাঠকের মনে হতে পারে যে ‘এই মানুষগুলো তো আমার জীবনেও আছে!’ কিছু অধ্যায় রম্যরচনার ঢঙে । পড়তে পড়তে হঠাৎ মনে হবে—’নাহ, ওর জায়গায় আমি হলে অন্যভাবে করতাম!’ সেই ভাবনার ব্যাপারটাই এই বইটিকে এক আলাদা মাত্রা এনে দেয় ।

The phlegmatic author brings to life her journey through the years with aplomb & meticulous precision. Chronicling one’s past is never easy. There is fear of past intruding into present but this has been taken well care of with deftness. She is forthright in showcasing her life spanning close to fifty years in unobtrusive colors. The book is lucidly written, well choreographed & big hearted in allowing facts to hold sway over fictional didactics. She uses her gift of enriched memorabilia in portraying the trials & tribulations of a woman fighting odds to carve out a nichè for herself in this world of inequity & division. She devotes one chapter to share her experiences with my family & me. The section brought tears to my eyes as events keep tumbling out of my closet as i flip through the delicate pages with sheer fondness. Referral to my family esp dida , ma , joy brings to life days gone by. Showcasing my life story is indeed reason to Celebrate & cherish. A must read for all book lovers who can glean with care happenings which they can relate with. May this endearing endeavour be the incipience of a long innings as a ranconteur of love & languishment. Wishing all the best to the author for all her literary endeavours.
